Ausiello: Definitely not too early. House’s One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest-inspired season premiere has been expanded to two hours and is being directed by exec producer Katie Jacobs. Holla!

Question: You probably get this a lot, but I don’t have an agent. I don’t have anything. What I do have is previous experience being a patient at Greystone Park State Hospital, the New Jersey psychiatric facility that is doubling as House’s temporary home. It would be a true honor to go back there as a quasi-sane person and go play the nut I once was. Think you can tell your insider about me? Everyone’s got to get a break somehow, right? –Donna
Ausiello: Answer me this: How are you on the drums? Producers are currently on the prowl for an older actor who “stomps to his own beat” and is a “real percussionist” to play one of House’s fellow patients. They’re also looking for a young actress who can play the cello if that’s a better fit for you. Let me know and I’ll see if I can set something up. Given your history, you may have to audition via closed circuit camera from the McDonald’s across the street from the studio. It’s nothing personal. It’s just a safeguard in case you lunge at Katie Jacobs with a hammer. BTW, all of these casting calls have me thinking House is going to form his own loony bin pit band. Hugh Laurie has already established that he can sing as well as play the piano, guitar, harmonica and saxophone. Call me crazy, but I think I’m on to something here.

Miranda, who gave a caffeinated hip-hop-fueled performance as the narrator of In the Heights, will play roommate of the misanthropic title character, played by Hugh Laurie, in the FOX medical drama. Their situation is not usual: They’re patients in a psychiatric hospital.

The busy Miranda also co-founded the comedy improv group Freestyle Love Supreme (gigs of which he sits in on occasionally), contributed new songs to a revised version of the musical Working and penned Spanish-language content for the libretto and lyrics of the current Tony Award-nominated Broadway revival of West Side Story. He also signed a development deal with Dreamworks Animation.

EW.com reported that Miranda will appear in at least two episodes of “House” starting with the season premiere in the fall.

At the end of the 2008-09 season of “House,” viewers were shocked when Dr. Gregory House checked himself into a psychiatric hospital.

In an act of goodwill rarely exhibited by the irritable doctor he plays on television, actor Hugh Laurie has handed over his character’s infamous cane to be auctioned off for charity.

The recipient and auction coordinator is the RFK Center for Justice and Human Rights, a international human rights advocacy organization. The auction website has set the bid at $20,500.

The iconic device use by Laurie to play Dr. House, the enigmatic medical de-coder whose rough bedside manner has helped make the FOX drama “HOUSE” a hugely popular series.

In addition to the nabbing the autographed cane, the winner will meet the entire cast on the set of “HOUSE” and receive a signed script.

Now in the possession of RFK Center, the cane is among over 125 celebrity valuables, memorabilia and experiences available for the interested and well-funded bidder.

Proceeds from the auction will be directed towards RFK Center efforts to rebuild the lives of post-Katrina New Orleans residents, aid refugees in Darfur and promote the interests of farmworkers in the U.S.

Hey guys, I’m back…so I will updating a lot more now. So to start off, I’ve added 36 episode stills from the season final “Both Sides Now”. It was an awesome episode. I love the writing and it leaves so much for Season 6. But, it features a lot of Cameron and Chase’s wedding which was sweet and the last scene with House and Wilson.
